‘Game of Thrones’ Jaime Lannister meets Alison Brie in Apple TV ad
We know Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones. He is the aggressive guy who pushes kids of windows and kisses his on-screen sister. We don’t know him as the guy who has issues with kissing and listens to Jeremih – but, guess we don’t know everything about him!
The talented actor is featured in the new Apple TV ad alongside Alison Brie from shows Community and Mad Men. The two sit awkwardly on a couch in a trailer discussing a scene they must rehearse for an unnamed movie project. They have to rehearse their kiss – too much tongue? Or, not enough tongue? Brie plays nurse to Coster-Waldau’s injured soldier, and she isn’t feeling it. She’s quite critical towards what their on-screen kiss should look like.
Brie pulls out her iPhone and asks Siri to find a scene from 1,000 Times a Good Night, a movie from 2013 in which Coster-Waldau passionately. kisses actress Juliette Binoche. Brie over-analyzes the kiss from 1,000 Times a Good Night. She says to Coster-Waldau, “What angle are you at in this scene? 25 degrees?” She tries to angle her neck so the kiss looks similar to the one on the screen.
When she isn’t satisfied with this scene, she then searches for an example from Game of Thrones. Oh, the irony.
A guy from the set of the movie project comes into the trailer and says they are needed on set for their kissing scene. Brie brushes him off and says they’ll be out in five minutes. Coster-Waldau rolls his eyes. He clearly isn’t feeling it, and is exasperated that Brie wants to go over the kissing scene yet another time. He also doesn’t want to watch the scene featuring him and his TV twin. So, he interrupts Brie and asks Siri to open Apple Music and find something by Jeremih.
The song “Oui” comes on, and Coster-Waldau starts singing along to the crooning lyrics. This does just the trick, and Brie gets up off the couch, saying “You know what, we’re good. We’re over-thinking it.” This is just what Coster-Waldau wants to hear.
